What to expect
Program Description:
Join us for an insightful workshop introducing the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and its powerful approach to understanding and working with addictions. Because there are millions of Americans affected by addictions now as much as ever, transformation is needed. This course will provide an overview of the IFS model, illustrating how it uniquely addresses addiction by exploring the internal and external dynamics contributing to addictive behaviors.
Participants will engage with various interactive elements, including PowerPoint presentations, hands-on exercises, video demonstrations, and guided imagery. These tools will help participants better understand how IFS can be applied to support recovery and promote lasting change. Whether a mental health professional, someone affected by addiction, or simply curious about innovative therapeutic approaches, this workshop offers valuable insights and practical skills to enhance one’s personal or professional journey.
Intended Audience:
This workshop is geared toward providers who work with those struggling with addictive behaviors. They may be LADCs, CADCs, LCPCs, LCSW’s, or other recovery supports who are interested in learning a new approach to addressing addictive behaviors. Previous knowledge about the IFS model is not necessary as a basic overview will be provided.
