Intensive Outpatient Program

Who is eligible for this program?

Minimal intoxication or withdrawal experience
Any medical conditions are manageable and treated
Individuals may have some mental health issues, but symptoms are manageble
In need of close monitoring to address relapse potential
May not have many supports but can benefit from the group as a source of support to build from.
Insurances accepted including Mainecare
Members may be referred via inpatient programs, self-referred, primary care physicians
MAT is accepted and a prescriber will be available if needed.

What does the program entail?

The curriculum used is the Matrix Model
The program is 6 weeks of groups that includes family/significant other engagement
Groups will meet 3-5 times per week
Members will also meet with an individual therapist weekly while in treatment
Groups are small and will not exceed 10 people
Some topics that will be covered: PAWS (post-acute withdrawal syndrome, relapse prevention skilss, how to manage urges and cravings, understanding brain chemistry, and spirituality and wellness living
